Dr. Emily Driesman
Dr. Emily Driesman grew up in Westport and went through the Westport School System starting in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. While attending high school, Emily was an avid Staples Wrecker, playing on both the softball and swim teams. She also served as an editor of the Staples Yearbook and was an active member in many of Staples’ clubs.
Education and Experience
Dr. Emily has been a Board Certified Orthodontist since 2013. She is currently completing the FACES continuing education course, an intensive, advanced orthodontic course dedicated to excellence in patient care by providing treatment beyond the limits of tooth straightening alone. She has also developed skills in lingual braces, Invisalign® and esthetic tooth colored braces. Dr. Emily is equally adept in both early childhood and adult orthodontics.
After attending Staples High School, Dr. Emily continued her education at Emory University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She worked as an orthodontic assistant for a year while applying to dental school and fell in love with the orthodontic specialty. She graduated in the top 10% of her class at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Emily then completed her residency in Orthodontics at New York University College of Dental Medicine. Outside the Office
When not devoting her time to orthodontics and academics, Dr. Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and their children, Cecilia and Spencer. Dr. Emily also enjoys skiing, snowboarding, reading, and traveling in her free time. She is a passionate runner, having finished 2 marathons and 6 half marathons.
Dr. Emily is one of many doctors in her family. Her father, Mitchell, is a cardiologist and her mother, Shelley, is an ophthalmologist, both practicing in Fairfield. Her brother is currently an orthopedic surgery resident in New York City.
Dr. Emily is excited to be working in the area she grew up in and knows so well. She looks forward to forming meaningful and lasting relationships with all her patients while giving them the smile they always wanted.
